Setup multiple google wifi devices without mesh

Living in an apartment block where I live in an apartment that is several levels up and IOT devices are in the basement. Wanting to connect IOT devices in the basement, I use a google wifi which is connected to a power socket lan. Every thing worked fine until a couple of day ago when I wanted to setup a google wifi in the apartment itself. Sadly things didn’t go well and I am unable to create an isolated network disconnected from the google wifi in the basement. Is there anyway I can create two hotspot without using/creating a mesh?

Hay @Anonymous,

thank you for the info. I really appreciate it. I was able to get everything set up but the only caveat being that I had to use the Ethernet on the google Wi-Fi to connect with the power line Ethernet as opposed to using the DSL router's Ethernet.
