Cannot Add Back Nest Protect

I have 2 Nest Protects and 1 recently went offline and could not reconnect it. I tried factory resetting it and removing it from the app. Now when I try to add it back it won’t connect to the other one to set it up. The other one is working just fine so it’s not my wifi network. I am at a loss what to do and it was my nightly path light. I am scared to remove the other one in case I can’t add either back. If someone can please help that would be great.

Do you have a nest doorbell or anything else nest/google?
Try switching them off before you add the protect. In my case, it was the doorbell acting as a sync type thing
