&lt;P&gt;In order to determine the reason why you're experiencing this, please provide the information requested below:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Has the device been paired before?&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;What model of Nest Protect do you have?&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;How far have you gotten in pairing your device in the Nest app?&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;What’s the color of the LED status light on your Nest Protect device?&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;How far is the device from the router?&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Can you connect to the internet with other devices?&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the device you want to pair?
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Those devices could interfere with the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth signal.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;

      <title>Nest Protect Setup Issues</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi there.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried to setup my Nest Protect today but it didn't appear as a device in my Nest App.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When I tried to Factory Reset the device and set it up, it showed the original setup Nest Protect first- which now is not linked to the device.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Not sure how to resolve? Any guidance will be helpful&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
