Hello Community and Google Nest Team,

Is there any plan to enable Nest Protect Gen 2 to connect to other smart home applications again?

In our new home, I would like to integrate 15 devices. The three test units I have work extremely well — this is by far the best product on the market, especially with the spoken language alerts and other features.

Currently, only the Nest app receives a signal, not the Google Home app. Like many others here, I would love to see integration with platforms like Home Assistant — for example, to automatically turn on lights for my deaf son in case of an alarm.

Currently the option isn't available. We're always seeking ways to improve; please consider sharing your thoughts and experiences by submitting them to the feedback form so they can work on future updates.
