False Alarm

One of my Nest Protects alerted me to smoke in one of our bedrooms while I was out-of-town; around 8:30 in the evening. Luckily a neighbor was able to confirm it was a false alarm and was able to silence it for me. I received another alert the next morning around 7 AM of another smoke alert, but the time stamp was 2:40 AM. The neighbor again confirmed it was a false alarm and so I asked for him to remove the batteries. Another device then started to alert that its batteries were low (presumably because they had been sounding all night) so I had him remove those as well. Continued to get the respective alerts until I removed both devices from the app. Why would all this happen, and why on the one night I was able to be out-of-town?!

Were you able to resolve this? I'm currently having the same problem and have no idea why. 2 false smoke alarms today (one this evening, one about a half hour ago). Removed the batteries of the unit in the room that there's supposedly smoke in (there's no smoke), and now a unit in another room is giving a low battery warning. Was just wondering if you'd found a solution. Thanks.
