Port Forwarding Not Working

Good Morning,

About 6 months ago, google nest told me that port forwarding is not working and they are working on a fix. Before I change everything back to nest. Im wondering if port forwarding has been fixed?

What was happening was that I would open a port and set the forward, but the port wouldn't show it was open or even let traffic in or out. I was told to go to a different router till this was fixed.

This is why I am reaching out to see if its been updated/fixed.
