topic House Sitter control of Nest Protects feature request in Nest Protect

We are vexed trying to configure access for a live-in house sitter to silence Nest Protect devices close to a poorly ventilated kitchen. As homeowners we regularly set off the Protects cooking (boiling water can be enough to trigger an alert) and have learned to keep our phones close at hand. We want to have a sitter live in our home when we travel and want the sitter to be able to cook and relax as we do in the house. To date we have been unable to a find a method to provide a sitter(s) with temporary guest access to silence false alarms. The anxiety caused by this lack of control has frustrated the last two sitters and prevented them from being comfortable. Any guidance will be much appreciated.
