Hello,

I am evaluating the google nest protect, but i want to test that i receive a notification on my phone when there is an alarm without causing a fire 🙂

Any ideas ?

Light a bbq outside, take a ziploc bag, fill it with smoke while the bbq is starting, zip it shut.

Take the bag indoors, open it by the Protect and waft the smoke at it.

Should do the job!

I ended up using a test can that did the trick. Thnx for the bbq alternative.

Nest sends notifications via mobile.
