Path light not coming on

Installed a battery nest protect in my mother in laws dark hallway. The path light is not coming on. It’s pitch black in the hallway. Does the device only show path light during the pm hours or should it work any time of the day? It’s brand new out of the box so battery life shouldn’t be an issue

The motion detector seems to work on mine when I walk into the dark room where it's installed. If I stop and remain motionless, it will go out, eventually.

Hey folks,

heaterjdh, I'm sorry for the delay and trouble. Pathlight gets disabled once the battery reaches a level of 4.653V for wired devices and 4.641 for battery devices. Check if you noticed low battery indications or a yellow Nightly Promise. I'd suggest using Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA (L91) batteries.
