    <description>&lt;P&gt;I put the batteries back in a few days ago. The alarm went off and the red light came on.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried the same thing today. Just a blue light and no noise.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Pressed the device’s main button to check for alarms, smoke and carbon monoxide. All fine.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Turned the steam check off on the app.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But the app was still red and reading “smoke”.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Updated the app and it’s still red and telling me there is smoke.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please advise how to fix the app. Thanks.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Our Nest’s red light and smoke warning won’t go off. It was triggered by steam. One more thing to add: in which part of your house did you install your Nest Protect, and have you tried moving it to a different area? Also, have you had a chance to perform a factory reset on it?
