Why won’t my google assistant unlock my front door. It will lock the lock but tells me unlocking the door is disabled.

I have this lock and it works well with my Google Home. I had to set up my lock as a "works with Google" device; select Yale; follow their prompts to establish the user account; set up a pass code for Google. Works promptly with Google home. When unlocking, I have to tell Google my pass code.
