Icon Settings on nest yale lock

Hello, so I just installed a nest yale lock on our front door. Install was successful. However, I noticed that there is no settings icon on the keypad - just the numbers, the check icon and the back arrow. Is this new? I'm seeing that icon in the videos and photos of other nest yale locks...

I would suggest that you first Restart or Factory Reset the lock. It may clear out this issue and then you can try again.

I’m not sure why you are not seeing my response. I did restart. The lock status showing in Google Home is not always consistent with lock. The green light on my Google Connect stayed on as well. Don’t know if that is a symptom of problem.

I apologize for the confusion. The lock icon on the Nest x Yale Lock is only useful when it's not added in the Nest app. Are you also having inconsistencies when using the Nest app?

You can check this article when your Nest × Yale Lock is disconnected or offline for more info.

Wow! Maybe I’m misunderstanding your post, but please explain the statement about not adding Nest x Yale to Nest App. Is the only remote functionality from the Google Home App?

I’ve found the Nest App essential for the functionality of my Thermostat and doorbell camera (wired). The inconsistencies are between Nest and Google Home apps.

HI there,

The gear icon that you are seeing on the Nest x Yale lock will only work when you have not set it up. Once set up, you can check your settings or other features in the Nest app.
