Nest + Yale Auto Unlock

I was under the impression that the Google Nest Door Lock is a "SMART" lock, but am I right that the Yale app of Google Home cannot be used with the Nest + Yale lock to create a geofence that unlocks with the presence of a phone in the geofenced area? Seems that is the "SMART" part of smart lock. This is standard on the Yale branded locks as a feature. Is this something that will be implemented at some point if not? (will return my 2 Nest x Yales before install depending on answer. )
