Window sensor

Needed to replace the battery on a widow sensor (DONE). Placed the sensor back on the window with magnetic connect but Nest Home Unit keeps beeping stating that the sensor was tampered with. Hoe do you stop this madness!

Thanks for posting in the Community.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with Nest Detect. Let’s check it out.

A Nest Detect that’s not properly aligned might display a tamper message in the Nest app. If so, pull the device out of its backplate and carefully snap it back in. It shouldn’t extend out on either side.

Here’s a handy guide to learn how to replace Nest Detect’s battery.
