i am trying to add people to my nest door lock and its saying that now we have to use google home , does anyone know how to add guest thru google home, why would they take the nest app down

You add family members through the Google Home app. Family members have full control of the lock and can add or remove other members and guests. If you only want to give someone an access code to enter the home, you still use the Nest app.

In the Nest app, go to Settings - Family & Guests. Select the option to Add a guest at the bottom of the page. If you select Add a home member, the app will tell you that you need to add home members from the Google Home app.

Yeah it surprised me too. I tried thru Google home but didn't work so I just added guests and told them the code.

Home members thankfully are still there so haven't had that pain.
