Sad part is that the 1.4 certification means nothing here. Looking and supported devices table there are NONE that actually support 1.4 spec. this essentially means Google Home is compatible with Matter 1.0 and with 1.2 for just 5 device types (most being relatively rare ones).

Let's be clear. Google Home as a whole supports 0% of Matter 1.4 in 2025 and it's certification means nothing.

Hello,

I want to integrate my matter device to google home.

My device type is in supported in matter 1.4 - Water purifier.

And I found google home got matter 1.4 certificate in this year.

I refered developer page, but it seems older version. Because there is no matter 1.4 device.

https://developers.home.google.com/matter/supported-devices

So I want to know water purifier type is supported in google home with matter 1.4 spec.

and which more devices are supported.

Unfortunately, specific support for the Water Purifier device type in Google Home under the Matter 1.4 specification has not yet been officially released by Google as of the most recent updates.

While the Matter protocol itself added the Water Purifier device type in the Matter 1.4 specification, and Google Home has received its Matter 1.4 certification, this certification only confirms that the framework is capable of supporting the protocol's features. It does not automatically mean all new device types are immediately enabled for users.

Google typically rolls out support for new Matter device types in phases, often starting with the most common types and then gradually adding others. The official Google Home Developer documentation for supported devices is the ultimate source of truth. Keep checking this page for updates, as Google will eventually add the Water Purifier type once support is fully rolled out to the public.
