Not able to add a matter bridge exposing some lights to google home

Hi!

I try to add the matter bridge-example (which exposes some lights) with my google nest mini to google home, but the process fails after some time with no meaningful error message.
I already fixed a problem in the example zap configuration specifying the correct bridge capabilities (Ethernet only).
I am able to commission the same application with amazon alexa and apple home. I suspect I need to provide more information somehow. The application is not certified and I am using the default vendor/product test ids.

The only "error" message which occurs with google and not with apple is "Commissioning window is currently not open" because it tries to open the window again.

Matter version: ba45f9ca
Google App version: 3.6.104
Google Nest Mini: 2.57.375114

I am grateful for any advice on how to debug this issue further.

Turns out I had to create a google project and enable matter integration with my device.
