Recordings from Nestcam history

The Google Home app allows us to download the events identified by the Nest cam app algorithm. On my cams this often misses 50% to 75% of the actual events in the 7x24 video of my cams.

How do we record the area between Google’s chosen events?

On the older Nestapp we can choose anything to record. this has been critical for us for the past 15 years.

as well, Google Home app limits our downloaded recording to short clips. if there is a long event that we want to download currently the only way I can access the info is to do an iOS screen recording which is not very efficient.

Thank you for reaching out to us with your issue. The Google Camera is going to decide what to record and what not to record. For your needs mentioned above you can make use of the Device Access APIs for camera devices .

But it misses 100s of events. How do we get it to tag all of our events rather than a subset. 100s are missed if not 1000s daily, weekly, monthly …

‘why are so many events missed. Many, many have vehicles and people in them?

I do not understand how to use the APIs. on our nest cams in the Nest app, we just select an area and we record it. Our choice .. so we do not miss key events and also surrounding context. The AI is not working correctly. 100s if not 1000s of events are missed as per my previous response.

on my. nest cams still on Nest app, I can easily select any section to download. It is easy.
‘on Google Home app, I have to learn how to program with your APIs to do the same thing? Your even algorithm misses 100s if not 1000s of events weekly. Why are you tell me what my events are and limiting my downloading from my Nest cams? How is this progress? It definitely does not help with security if your algorithm misses so many events. I have been using these cams for over 10 years. I am not ranting. I am frustrated.

If this is the Google Home app solution, where is the sample code to make it easy for non-programmers that use your cams?

With this can I select any time in my history and download an event of my defined length? Is there any chance example of this?
