Why won't my Google Home Mini complete actions and routines?

I've tried using my smart lights, using a nighttime routine where it turns off my lights and sets an alarm, playing music, etc. It makes the wake up noise, waits for a response, and makes the completion noise, but doesn't do the action.

When did this issue start happening?
Does it happen with both routines and when you access the Google Assistant?
Have you already tried any troubleshooting steps?
Do you get any kind of error message?
