setting up a wake up notification using google home display

I'm trying to get my google home display to play my favoriate radio station at a stated time. For example I'll say to google, "Ok google, set (radio station call letters) radio alarm for 7AM tomorrow." So I'm expecting to hear my radio station playing at 7AM. But instead, I'm waking up to some pre-programmed tones in an endless loop and it will play this until I tell google to stop.

What do I need to say to get google to play my radio station at a certain time.

Jill, I checked out the link and it doesn't work. I'm still getting those general alarm sounds. But in reading the information on this page, I found the following statement and it reads: "Note: If your speaker or display isn't connected to Wi-Fi at the time of the media alarm, a general alarm will sound instead." So could this be what is going on at 7AM; the device is not connected to the house WI-FI? I just checked and this device is connected to the house WI-FI.

Your thoughts, please.

You're right, there's a slight difference between how you're phrasing the command and what Google Home Display currently understands. Here's how to set up a wake-up notification with your favorite radio station:

1. Use "Play" instead of "Alarm":

Instead of saying "radio alarm," try saying "Play (radio station call letters) radio at 7 AM tomorrow." Google Home interprets "alarm" as a pre-set sound or tone, while "play" specifies the desired media.

2. Add "Stop" after the station name:

To ensure the radio doesn't play endlessly, add "stop" after the station name. This tells Google to stop playing the station after the initial wake-up notification. For example, "Play (radio station call letters) radio at 7 AM tomorrow, stop."

3. Use the Google Home app:

Alternatively, you can set up the wake-up notification using the Google Home app:

Open the Google Home app.
Select your Google Home Display device.
Go to "Settings" > "Sounds & notifications" > "Alarms & timers."
Tap "Add alarm."
Set the time for 7 AM.
Choose "Media" as the sound source.
Select "(radio station call letters) radio" from your music providers.

Ok I tried rephrasing my command to google. To test it out I said: " ok google, play wwsw radio at 10:20 PM tonight." The response from google was " ok, got it, listen to this music from youtube music" then it started playing music but not from the radio station I stated. I think the problem is I'm not using the correct words in my command to google. Unfortunately, I don't know the correct command phrase.

I will try to set this up by opening the google app, tomorrow. It's late and I don't want to deal with this anymore tonight. LOL
