Feedback like noice

Since a month my nest mini is making a feedback like noise (like a a tuner to close to the microphone). It does this out of the blue without being used.

Any idea what could cause this issue?

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing with your Google Nest Mini device. Can you share with us a video showing this behavior? Also, have you tried to do a reboot or a factory reset on it?

I have done a reset but the behavior still occurs.

It is difficult to make a video because it happen once or twice a day but without anything leading into it. The sound has a duration of 5 seconds
