When I reported this via the app store they said they had "changed the functionality of events and tasks" and you now need to add tasks (not events) in order to get a response from the assistant. My efforts to create tasks from the calendar app have been fruitless since they still don't get reported by the assistant. The only way I can get tasks reported via the assistant seems to be by creating them via the assistant. Google is not responding to any questions I have made on this other than sending link to help pages.<BR />The logic behind the decision for the change is lost on me.
