I have selected the lost connection alert, ensured that both the nest app and google home app has alert permissions.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Why do I not get the alert?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Thanks for posting in the community. I'll be happy to help you regarding the lost WiFi notifications on your Nest Mini.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Nest Mini is not able to directly announce a lost wifi connection since it relies on the internet to send alerts. However, there are ways to be notified indirectly.&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;App Notifications:&lt;/STRONG&gt; Make sure both the Google Home and Nest app have notification permissions enabled on your phone. You can check this in your phone's settings under notification access.&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;LED Status:&lt;/STRONG&gt; The Nest Mini uses its lights to show connection. A solid orange light means it's disconnected. Look for any visual prompts on the device itself.&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;
