Nest mini alert if wifi is lost

Hi,

I would like to be notifyed if my nest mini has lost internett connection or are shut down for some reason. I have selected the lost connection alert, ensured that both the nest app and google home app has alert permissions.

Why do I not get the alert?

Nest Mini is not able to directly announce a lost wifi connection since it relies on the internet to send alerts. However, there are ways to be notified indirectly.

App Notifications: Make sure both the Google Home and Nest app have notification permissions enabled on your phone. You can check this in your phone's settings under notification access.
LED Status: The Nest Mini uses its lights to show connection. A solid orange light means it's disconnected. Look for any visual prompts on the device itself.
