Google display camera turning on

The camera on our display keeps turning on.

I turn it off and then days or weeks later the green light will appear again and the camera will be on again without me doing it. I think my partner is turning it on but he is denying it. I need to know if there is any way that it would turn back on without us going onto the app and switching it back on?

We've had a Nest Hub Max for almost 3 years.

If we turn off the camera on the Nest Hub Display itself (by scrolling up from the bottom of the display), it can only be turned back on by scrolling up from the bottom of the display and turning it on.

If the camera has been turned on using the display itself, then we can turn it off or on using the Google Home app.

The camera has never turned on by itself.
