Issues playing spotify

Hi everyone.

My wife is currently having issues playing spotify from her phone. We have a Spotify Duo account and the only way we can play it from her phone is by starting it in spotify, than going to google home and hitting cast my audio. If we connect it any other way it will not work. The notification noise will sound saying it has been connected however nothing else happens. Works fine from my phone though. We have tried unlinking the accounts aswell as uninstalling both apps

Any suggestions?

I have exactly the same issue. The speaker is visible, appears in my Google home room, available and able to connect but no volume other than the voice of the assistant

The team was looking into it, and Spotify had some trouble playing on Google Speakers. Things should be back up and running once again. Feel free to play Spotify on your speakers and let us know if any other inconvenience arises.
