Spelling words too quickly!

My Google Home assistant is suddenly spelling back words too quickly. Too fast to keep up and amend. Why has this suddenly happened? Chris

Hi Virnab, Thanks for replying. My WiFi is fine and I've not had this issue before. I don't think it is a technical fault. But for some reason the longstanding voice suddenly now spells words fast. If I ask Siri on my Apple phone to spell a word, it does so slowly; like my google home did up to a few weeks ago? Chris

Based on the information you are reporting, I would recommend you try the next troubleshooting steps:

Remove the Google Home app from the mobile device that you used to set up your Google Nest Mini.
Restart your mobile device.
Reinstall the Google Home App on your mobile device.
Reboot your Google Nest Mini.
Try spelling back words with your Google Home assistant.

If the issue persists, please try with the following instructions:

Open the Google Home app.
At the bottom, tap "Home."
Touch and hold your Google Nest Mini.
At the top right, tap Google Nest Mini "settings" (the gear icon).
Select the option "Audio.”
Then choose the option “Hey Google” sensitivity.
Choose how sensitive you want Google Assistant to be when it responds to you. (To change this setting on another device, tap “Adjust more devices.”)

When you finish with these steps, please try again the spelling back words with your Google Home assistant.

Thanks Virna for your response and suggestions. However, I have a quick easy test to see if the problem is a technical issue or, if Google has globally changed its delivery speed for spelling?

If I ask my “Hey Google” to spell the word “Argentina” it now rushes through it in just 3 seconds from first letter to last! If I ask my Apple Siri, it spells “Argentina” in 7 seconds. Quite a difference; my google was about the same slower speed till recently.

Could you ask your Google to also spell “Argentina”. If around 7 seconds, then I have a technical issue; but if just 3 seconds, then it’s a global setting change by Google. Await your response. Chris D.

Thanks for your prompt answer. I already did the exercise with the word "Argentina." By my side, the Google assistant didn’t run fast. I hope the troubleshooting steps I sent you are helpful to resolve the inconvenience with the Google Home assistant spelling back words too quickly.

Before you try the troubleshooting steps previously provided, you can also ask Google Assistant, "Can you repeat that slower?".
