Nest Mini Reminders Not Working

Hi, I have a 2nd gen nest mini and I not able to set a reminder and have Google remind me through a voice notification. The reminder just turns into a task in my calendar and that’s about it.

I have read a number of articles about this and done everything from checking notifications on home and assistant app and restarting my device and phone - nothing seems to be working. Does anyone know what might be the problem?

Seems to be a known bug from what Google Support has told me and engineers are "looking" into it. Reminds me of the year most of us on here dealt w/ the clicking/ popping noises on our devices....hoping this is solved in much less time..lol.

Argh so frustrating. This is literally the only thing I used my echo device for, barely listened to music 😆 Decided to “upgrade” to a nest mini after the echo gave way. Would I be able to return the device just based on this bug?

I'm here to help you and find a solution together. @CraigM313, I really appreciate the information you provided in your previous post.

To assist you further, please attempt the following questions:

Have you experienced any power outages in your area?
Are both your Google Home app and smartphone operating system up to date?
Were there any recent changes to your environment, such as a change in the Wi-Fi network or relocation of the device?

You can try these steps to see if they work for you, and it will also assist in ensuring that the Google Home app settings are right:

Make sure the personal results are on:

Open the Google Home app.
Make sure the mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account.
Tap Settings, then Google Assistant, and Personal Results.
Follow the in-app steps.

With the reminder, you could use voice commands on your Google Nest Hub Max. Try these voice commands:

Create a time-based reminder

Say Okay Google or Hey Google, then: Remind me to <title> <date> <time>.

Create a recurring reminder:

Say Okay Google or Hey Google, then: Remind me to <action> <frequency> <time>.

Ask about a reminder:

What are my reminders?
What are my reminders for tomorrow?
When is my reminder to <title>?

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for the reply. I was told today it was finally filed as a bug and nothing here on the forum can assist. We just have to wait until it's investigated by the developers and crossing fingers it's not another 1 year wait like the crackling noise issue we all went through on here.

I have spent a lot of time on and off the last few weeks with this. My Nest hub stopped giving reminder notifications a few weeks ago. I tried a bunch of setting changes and even a factory reset. Tasks get created but no notification through the hub. This was probably the most used feature on the device.
