I use my nest hub in the kitchen, mostly for timers. Often when I have a timer running I need to extend it, which I do by saying "add nnn minutes to the xyz timer". That works fine when there is a single timer running.

Today I had two timers running:

* one created without a name, called "25 minute timer", showing on the left

* another, created later, with a name, called "potato timer", showing on the right

Both were partially counted down. I then attempted to extend one by saying "add one minute to the 25 minute timer".

The result of this was that an extra minute was added to the value showing for the *potato* timer. But then that value was displayed in the left timer, with the name "25 minute timer", while the value that had been on the 25 minute timer was now displayed on the right with the name "potato timer".

This was a total botch!

Does Google aim to fix problems like this?

(Also, Why am I required to choose a platform, when none are applicable?)

Hi @phk46,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear the timer feature on your Nest Hub isn't working as intended. I understand this feature is really helpful. Don't worry, let's work together to resolve this. To help me with that, I have some questions:

Is your Nest Hub 1st or 2nd generation?

Have you tried rebooting your Nest Hub? If not, please do so by unplugging the power cord from your Nest Hub, leaving it unplugged for one minute, and then plugging the power cord back in.

Are you creating the timer by voice, on the Nest Hub itself, or in the Google Home app?

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.

Cheers,

Jonathan
