Disconnecting from wifi

Hi there,

I recently bought a Nest Mini. If I don't use it for a couple of hours, it takes time to "wake up", and reconnecting to the wifi before I can use it. It is very annoying especially in the morning when i wake up and want to ask to turn the light on. Is it normal? Is there an "automatic standby" mode what turns on after a while i don't use it? Thank you for your help!

Good luck. All you can do is wait for the next firmware update and pray. I've been talking with Google about this problem for over a year. They actually fixed it with a firmware update to v1.56.n in August and then inexplicably rolled the firmware back to v1.54.n about a month ago and it's now worse than ever. I have a feeling that the rollback has something to do with the Sonos lawsuit. Don't throw your money away buying any more Nest products.
