My Nest speaker does not want to turn on and off my TV anymore even though it always was able to?

I have restarted my speaker as well as plugged out my Chromecast multiple times. I also power off and on the TV a dozen times. I also tried removing the TV from “my room” in the Google Home app. Nothing has worked and my speaker does not want to turn on and off my TV. This hasn’t happened before. Since it has been working earlier I know my TV is supported, but every time I ask google to turn on or off my TV it responds with:sorry I couldn’t turn on my TV, please consult with your device manual or manufacturer on whether it is supported.

I'm real sorry about the delayed response, I appreciate your patience!

Are you still experiencing this issue?

Do you know when this issue first started happening?

In the meantime, I would recommend you check out this article on turning on your TV on and off using speakers or displays, specifically the section near the bottom on Fix a problem, and let me know if that helps.
