Hello,

I've switched off all filters in google home but still can’t hear songs with explicit content, do you know why ?

This drives me crazy ! I can hear just 20% of songs in my playlists..

Thanks for stopping by on the Google Nest Community Forum.

Please note that Google Home/Nest devices and displays will only play the songs supplied by the music services. It is best to check the native app of your chosen music service first to see if there are settings that block other songs.

Hello Muddi,

Thanks for your reply but I don't agree, google makes the decision to filter the music even if the filters are disabled. My google home speakers do not play music from you tube music if it is marked explicit content!
If I start the music on my phone, everything is played, if I broadcast on one of the google home speakers, music with explicit content is no longer played.... so G home takes the decision for me !

My apologies for the delayed response. Let's dig deeper into this - could you provide the name of the songs that are not playing on your speaker? Also, please check if you have the same issue when using a different email, so we can further isolate it.

This problem occurs regardless of who uses the system in the house. It does the same thing to my children or my wife, if they listen to music on their phone no problem, if they play it on the google home speakers, it does not work for anything who is explicit...

Some examples of music:

Lalala / Y2K and bbno$
Tu dégages / Sexu sushi
Achilles come down / Gang of youths
Salop(e) / Thérapie Taxi

Hello Jack,
Thank you for your reply. My problem is still present but on only one speaker out of the 4 available without me changing anything.
The three built-in Google WiFi speakers can stream explicit content, the Google mini speaker in my living room still can't, it's frustrating...

Apologies again for the late reply. I wanted to jump back in and ensure you are good to go. I understand having your music filtering out explicit content is never ideal. I wouldn't be able to listen to half of my music. Let's jump in and ensure you are good to go. I would recommend checking your Home app. Once inside, head over to your settings. There should be an option to turn on and off explicit content. I did also find an article with more details on SafeSearch. Please let me know if that helps, or if you are still running into the issue.

I search how to quit G Home and Nest speakers because I currently think there is no solutions....

Exactly the same issue. No filters in the home app or the music app. Music plays as expected on phone/SmartTV but the nest mini restricts it for no apparent reason.

Sometimes this problem pops up here too. Both on nest Audio and nest Mini.

I solve this by actually setting a filter and deleting that same filter. After that everything works again.

It doesn't matter for which speaker I set and delete the filter, after that all other speakers also play all music again.

I'm hoping for a permanent solution but in the meantime maybe this works for others as well.
