I tried restarting. I tried creating groups thinking maybe it can’t play different things on different speakers (like Pandora in one room and Spotify in the other).

No luck. It repeatedly pauses seconds after starting. I hit play, it pauses. Over and over again.

Thank you for your message. Oh no! That sounds like a very frustrating issue, having your music randomly pause. I understand your concern and would be more than happy to help. First, I have some questions:

Which Google Home Hub devices is this post in regard to? (model name, generation number, amount of devices)
Is this a new issue? Were your devices working normally before?
Are you playing music via voice command/Google Assistant? Or are you casting from another device? Do both methods still pause on your Google Home Hub?
What happens when this issue occurs? Besides pausing, does your device turn off?
Is your device powering on, responding to commands, and working besides this issue?
Does your device still show up as connected in the Google Home App?
Do you see any error messages when the issue occurs?
Have you tried to do a Factory Data Reset on the device? Does the issue still occur?
- A factory reset will reset your Google Nest or Home speaker or display to its default factory settings.
  Note: This action will clear your data from the device and can't be undone.

It's all of them, multiple WiFi/routers, two hubs (both purchased new from Google last year, so whatever that would be.) New issue as in it started in the last month or so. Yes, worked before. Voice command (I say Hey Google Play ***). It just sits there, paused. All other functions work. Yes, connected to Google Home App. I have even tried going into the app to play and it will do the same thing, immediately pause. No other messages. I have not done a Factory Data Reset because it's on every device. (At least 3 WiFi/routers and 2 hubs).

Hello,

I have the same behavior with my Nest device. I have also done a factory reset, unfortunately without success.
Meanwhile, the music playback works without problems when I switch to the screensaver (clock) after startup.

I hope that this problem will be solved soon.

Hi,

Try disabling gesture control.

To do this, go to the Google Home app -- Nest Display -- Settings -- Gestures.
