How do I turn off status notifications? i.e. “The music has stopped because… “ They are long, verbose, obvious, and create unwanted interruptions.

Thanks for bringing this up. For now there's no option to turn of those notifications on the Google Home/Nest devices. We're always looking for ways to improve, and add more useful features on our Google Home/Nest devices. We'll take this as feedback and pass it along to the team. I also suggest that you send feedback using your devices by saying, "Hey Google, send feedback" or by following the steps on this link.
