Nest mini and audio will not connect to wifi

Connected two nest audio speakers, all went well. BUT, then I went to pair them and I lost one from the Wi-Fi signal. And could not reconnect. through my home app.

It will go through the Bluetooth connection, play it's little chime, but will not connect to either the 5 or 2.4 channel.

Now, in an attempt to update wifi settings, I have lost the second speaker and a nest mini!

Everything else in the home reconnected just fine, except the Google stuff!

I have attempted the following:

- verified both network and passwords

- reset speaker

- reset modem

- turned wifi on phone off and on

- even tried a cnet suggestion with airplane mode.

- spoke with customer support at google. I had already tried thier suggestions.

Again, all three will connect with phone, play it's confirmation tone but still will not connect to wifi

Before I throw all of this in the trash, Please help! thanks

You may already have tried some of these steps, but I've included them all for completeness. Let me know if this helps!

Make sure your Google Home or Nest device is within ############ ft (4-6 m) of the Wi-Fi router. If you have a dual band router, try to set up your device on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
Make sure Wi-Fi, Location Services and Bluetooth are turned ON on your phone or tablet.
Turn OFF mobile/cellular data.
Reboot your router. Most routers just require that you unplug the power source and then plug it back in to reboot.
Reboot your Google Home or Google Nest device.
Make sure you're using the latest version of the Google Home app, by checking your app store for any updates.
Restart the Google Home app.

Android: Swipe up from the bottom, hold, then let go. Swipe up on the Google Home app.
iPhone/iPad: Swipe up from the bottom, hold, then let go. Swipe up on the Google Home app. On older devices with a home button, double-click the Home button, then swipe up on the Google Home app.
Turn Wi-Fi off and on again on your phone or tablet.
Reopen the Google Home app.

If none of the steps above help, factory reset the device. Note that this will clear your data from the device and can't be undone. You may also want to try setup using a different phone or tablet if you have one, just to test.

Thank you for responding.

With the exception of trying to connect on a different device, (just me and my Samsung 21 here) I had tried all of that. Even have one speakers on the same end table.

Home app was updated, uninstalled, phone restarted than downloaded the app again.

Router restarted, even reset, tried both 2.4 and 5.

Tried with mobile data off.

And a 3 devices have been factory reset, with great patience on my part to not bash the devices instead of holding for the little orange lights.

If it makes a difference, I am using spectrum as my isp, with a technicolor TC8717C router.

Have they ever connected successfully to your Wi-Fi? Have you changed any of your router settings recently or updated it's firmware?

Yes to both. All three were connected at one point.

When I attempted to pair the speakers, the pairing was unsuccessful and I lost one speaker then. I went through all of the above over the course of several days last step was resetting the router, that is when I lost all three.

I repeated all of the above several times since then. And EVERY DEVICE except these 3 Google products successfully connected with the router again.

Strange how the rest have connected, except these 3, especially if you've tried factory resetting them. There is one thing you can test, but it would require you to have another phone or tablet to test with. Maybe you can borrow a phone or tablet from a friend or family member? This will help you determine if it's something to do with your router or the devices themselves.

Turn on the Wifi hotspot feature on a phone or tablet. If you're not sure how to do this, refer to the manufacturer's support website.
Connect a second phone or tablet to that Wifi hotspot.
You can then use that second phone or tablet to setup your devices and connect it to the Wifi hotspot on the first phone or tablet.

If the device is able to connect to your phone's Wi-Fi hotspot, it's potentially an issue with your router or its settings. If it's not able to connect to your Wi-Fi hotspot, it's more likely an issue with the device itself.

Solve the problem by buying a new nest mini. That one connected just fine. I guess I'll leave the other ones in a box and tell the Google ghosts correct the issue with these units

Had a similar problem, bluetooth connecting from Android phone to Google Nest Audio, as confirmed with acknowledgement sound, but WiFi not connecting. Got a hint from Google Nest support webpage to try a factory reset as below;

Press and hold the front middle of speaker for 5 seconds starts the factory reset process, but keep the button pressed until all lights go off. I tried it and went through the Google Home app to reconnect the Google Nest Audio to WiFi and it worked.
