Cync lights saying something went wrong.

So I just recently got the Google nest hub and went out and bought the cync lightbulbs and then the light strip. So far I am able to turn everything on and off with my nest hub and voice controls but the light strip will say something went wrong when I try to change the colors on it to one of the extra setting such as rainbow or candlelight, etc. I can set it to one single color without a problem but that will not work neither will the scenes for the strip. Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but there's not a lot of info out there!
