Play Speaker Group with Auxiliary Source?

Can the Google Home Max speaker broadcast music to a speaker group if the auxiliary line-in is the source?

I'm trying to use the Aux Out from my record player, plug it in to the Aux In on the GHMax, and send the sound out through the Max and other speakers in the same speaker group.

As far as I'm aware no this isn't possible. Aux input is only playable through the speaker itself or speakers if you've paired 2 Home Max devices.

Are there any hardware devices that are capable of streaming and/or casting from a local source instead of a cloud source?
