Google home devices and Pixel 5 both respond to "hey Google"

When at home and speaking to one of my Google Home devices (I have several) my phone also responds. In the past my phone would just to back to sleep, but in the past few days both my phone and my Google Home device will respond to my request including my "good morning" routine, stream my local NPR station, what time is it, what's the temperature . . . etc.

What do I need to do to get my phone to realize a home device is responding? I don't want to turn down the sensitivity of my phone because I talk to it when I'm driving.
