goggle home mini won't connect to wifi

I can't connect my google home mini to my new wifi modem my samsung tablet connects to it fine, but refuses to connect to wifi.

Have a Google home mini that won't connect to my new wifi mode. The app connects to it, but it won't connect to wifi. I tried all the troubleshooting steps but non work

I have same issue with a google hub but 2 minis and another hub connect fine. I don't have an answer but I got closer with these 2 things. At Google's recommendation, I set the wifi to use static IP and set primary as 8.8.8.8 and secondary as 8.8.4.4. I also changed the name of my guest ssid to the name of my old wifi ssid and old password also. That fixed another smart plug that wouldn't connect but the hub is still not connecting. Hope that helps.
