Note the categories are not correct for this post as Google didn't include Chromecast as a choice. I have the Google TV Chromecast. When I select it in Google Home, the Settings screen is blank.

What version is your Google Home app?
Is your Chromecast with Google TV's firmware up-to-date?
What make and model is your Android phone?
Have you attempted any troubleshooting steps already?
