    <description>&lt;DIV class=""&gt;nest hub keeps rebooting often. 1 week old. this isnt the only hub that is having this issue. google supp&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;always plugged in.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;how do you check firmware, and how do you update it, this is 1 week old nest hub!&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;reset multiple times, same result, rebooting at various times.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;how about a replacement?&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;i know that i'm not the only one with this issue. there is now way to tell on the home app what firmware version you have.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;You can check the software and firmware versions by selecting the Nest Hub in the Google Home app, &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;selecting Settings, and then selecting Device Information. does not exist&amp;nbsp;on the app. this is an old fix.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;terrible customer service. what country are we talking to? the english is third world. and your emails get returned since you use a fake email account.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

My suggestion wasn't precise; sorry. In the Google Home app, you FIRST need to select the misbehaving Nest Hub, THEN select &lt;STRONG&gt;Settings&lt;/STRONG&gt;, and then select "&lt;STRONG&gt;Device information&lt;/STRONG&gt;". At the bottom of the screen you should see a section called "&lt;EM&gt;Technical information&lt;/EM&gt;", showing the firmware version.&amp;nbsp; If that doesn't display for your Nest Hub, it seems it must be really messed up.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;By the way, most of the responses in this forum are from other customers. Responses from Google Nest staff have a title of "&lt;EM&gt;Community Specialist&lt;/EM&gt;" with have a blue check mark in a blue circle.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If your Nest Hub is rebooting constantly, it certainly seems defective. I don't think a firmware update is going to help.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sometimes Google Nest Community Specialists provide a link for a form that's supposed to initiate action on a defective product, but customers often say that the form doesn't work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The only way--unfortunately--to contact Google Nest Support is via this link: &lt;A href="https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp?hl=en" target="_blank"&gt;https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp?hl=en&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Since your device is brand new, I would highly recommend to return it to the store where you purchased it to get a real time replacement.
