    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi there everyone. &amp;nbsp;This issue has been bugging me for over a week now and after multiple desperate attempts to try and solve it on my own, I’ve found this forum and am hoping someone here has a solution to put me out of my misery. &amp;nbsp;I refuse to give up on it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My Nest Hub and Nest Mini were both working fine at my old home and on the wifi there. &amp;nbsp;I’ve now moved to a new place, completely new wifi and am receiving this error message when trying to setup both devices in the Google Home app:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;”Connection Failed: couldn’t connect to Nest Mini/Nest Hub. &amp;nbsp;Try factory resetting your device. Tap get help for more information.”&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;These are all the methods I’ve already tried:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Factory resetting both devices multiple times&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Resetting the wifi router&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Trying to set them up on both the 2.4Ghz and the 5Ghz wifi connections&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Using the Nest app instead to try and set up&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Uninstalled Home app/reinstalled&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Tried on both mine and my partner’s phone&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve done the above, it’s literally the same message every single time but I’m too stubborn to give up! &amp;nbsp;One strange thing I did notice today though is that the Nest Mini was trying to set itself up under the name I had it under in my old house, despite it having been factory reset multiple times?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If anyone has a method I haven’t tried or can help me with logging a ticket with Google please help me, it would be thoroughly appreciated!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Sorry for the trouble this may have caused you and we appreciate the steps you've done so far.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Let's figure out what's going on with your devices. A few questions: are you using an Android or iOS? If you're using an iOS, give these steps a try:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Go to iOS Settings&amp;gt; Wi-Fi.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Connect to the Wi-Fi network that matches the device you're setting up. Look for something like GoogleHomeXXXX.k, GoogleHomeXXXX.o, or GoogleHomeXXXX.p.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Navigate back to the Google Home app. The device should now be detected.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Start setting up your device.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;You can also check your router settings. (AP isolation must be disabled and UPnP must be enabled).&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Turn on Local network access for the Google Home app on your phone settings. Here's how:&amp;nbsp;Privacy&amp;nbsp;&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;Local Network &amp;gt; Google Home app&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
