Changing Spotify account used as default on Google home mini

I have Google Home minis around the house, and I have a spotify premium account with 4 separate accts for my family members. When I originally set up the music source in Google Home I only had (or maybe it defaulted to) my Plan Manager Spotify account so it's the one linked to the Home mini, and whenever one of us asks a Google Home mini to play music, it will use my Plan Manager Spotify account. However, I often will be away from home using my Plan Manager account on my phone, and when someone at home starts playing music on a Google Home mini, it stops my music. Is it possible to switch the Google Home default account to one of the other Spotify Premium family member accounts? If so, what steps do I need to take? Thanks!

Hey DFitt,

Thanks for posting. You can link a different Spotify account to your Google Home Mini so that it can't affect your music while you're using the same account. If the Spotify account is associated with a Gmail account that's linked to the speaker or display, the process to link the accounts happens automatically once Spotify is selected. If Spotify isn't associated, proceed with the normal process. Here are the steps:

Make sure the customer's mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as the speaker or display.
Open the Google Home app.
At the top right, tap the account (the icon with the customer’s initial or profile picture).
Verify the Google Account on screen is the one linked to the speaker or display. To switch accounts, tap the dropdown arrow > choose another account or Add another account.
Go back to the home screen.
Tap Add > Music.
To choose a default service, select the preferred music service available. The Assistant uses this choice when the customer uses the voice command “Hey Google, play music.”
Link function:
- For YouTube, the account is automatically linked when the customer sets up the speaker or display.
- For Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, and others, the customer needs to link their account.
  - To connect the account, tap a music service > Link Account > sign in or sign up for the service > follow the in-app steps.
  - To unlink an account, tap Unlink > Unlink account.
