alarm disabled with on vacation or not home

So im home today - a weekday. I usually I have an alarm at home - that will remind me I need to leave for work.

sometimes I leave before the alarm goes off. I don't know how to say - im leaving so skip the alarm today - so I just leave and hope that the online forums that the alarm rings for 10 minutes is correct.

Today I did the test - it rings for over 30 minutes before I got tired of hearing it and told google to stop.

What is wrong? how do I help google to stop ringing?

I really wish that the developers would create key words for the calendar so the system would know, vacation / holiday, or home office, or whatever - this would signal the alarm to not go off.

Thanks for reaching out.

You can set general alarms, play your favorite music, or choose a character as an alarm with just your voice. Alarms will sound for 10 minutes if not stopped or snoozed.
