Using chromecast and nest together

Is there a way to watch a movie on your tv using chrome cast but use your best mini to play the audio?

I have a projector that has awful sound quality so want to play the picture on that using chromecast but for the sound to come from my nest mini.

Hi Jeran,

I wanted to ideally attach my nest mini to my Chromecast so I could stream Netflix on the Chromecast but have the sound come from the Nest, is that possible?

Hey lanw1989,

You are able to add a Chromecast and a Google Nest Mini into a speaker group together to play audio on both devices. However, it doesn't look like you can add a Google Nest Mini as a speaker for the Chromecast. If you would like this feature, I'd recommend submitting feedback via the Google Home app so that Google is aware that it's something you'd like to see in the future.
