Pairing for stereo

Can I pair 1 1st generation and 1 2nd generation of the google minis as a speaker pair, or do they both have to be the same generation? Wanting to know if I need to buy a whole new set or if I can just buy one and pair it with my existing 1 generation mini. Thanks for any help!

To get you to the right path, open this link. It will provide you the requirements about the speaker pair and also more information about how to do it. You might also want to look into the speaker group feature if you have different kinds of Nest speakers.
