Hi Chris Slater,

Thank you for reaching out. I am sorry to hear that you are now encountering an issue with your with Google Nest Hub device. I understand your concern and would be more than happy to help. First, I have some questions to get a better understanding of this situation.

Which Google Nest Hub device is this post in regard to? (generation number)

When you say "brightness at minimum it is still very bright in a dark room now as I cannot do anything with the screen!!", does that mean your display is frozen? It is not responding to your touch?

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps? What have you tried so far?

Can you reboot and Factory Data Reset your Google Nest Hub? Is there any improvement?
A factory reset will reset your Google Nest or Home speaker or display to its default factory settings. Note: This action will clear your data from the device and can't be undone.

I appreciate your patience and look forward to your response.

- From Frances (Community Specialist)
