Google home used to understand that the left back light was the same as the back left light. Is this a bug or a new feature?

Yes, I was trying to control lights in a room. There are also incorrect actions it repeatedly makes. In a room with back left and back right lights, it turns on the rear light in another room when I ask to turn on the back lights.

What brand of light do you have? When did it start happening? Also, have you tried relinking your lights from your Google Home app?

I removed home names that did not match the native app names. I relinked 13 of my 15 lights. The command for back lights now works correctly. It still does not understand left back refers to the back left light.

Wyze doorbell

2 garage door openers

Bed Room

Bedroom lights- front left, front right, back left, back right and led strip(plug)

Nest Mini pair.

Kitchen lights - front left, front middle, front left, rear (those 8 bulbs so far are wiz)

Nest Display

Den lights - front left, front right, back left, back right.

Google home

Loft lights - stairs, desklamp(mi).

Google mini

Of those 5 lights 4 are GE Cync (that now go thru a hub they gave me because you broke the software ran them natively). The den- back right is a wyze.

Bathroom google mini.

Also have a visio tv and a Chromecast with google tv are in the den.

The kitchen and the bedroom were/are pretty well behaved. Bedroom understands front, back, left, right) and kitchen understands those also.

The den may have been mostly fixed after I updated some names and relinked everything. I now understands left, right,… I still have (turn) “left back” (light) on/off not activing the “back left” light.

So, it is much better than before, There is still one surprising but not that important anomaly.

I appreciate all the details you've shared. Let's try to reboot the router simply by unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes to refresh its network settings.
