Nest hub keeps dropping radio

My nest hub constantly drops radio stations especially bbc radio 4 or bbc radio 3 the other google devices in the house do not have this problem

Hi Richardmn,

I'm sorry to hear that out of your multiple Nest speakers, the only one that constantly drops radio stations when playing BBC radio 4 or 3 is your Nest Hub. Let's find the solution for this. What Nest Hub do you have there? Was it working before? If yes, when did this concern started?

Try these: move your Nest Hub near your router, preferably around 5 ft or much closer. Do a sequential reboot starting with your router then followed by your Nest Hub. Restarting your phone might also help.

Hi Dan thank you for your help. I'm sorry I haven't replied I am away till Friday so will be able to try it then

I did wonder if the WiFi signal was weKer in that room but no other device has a problem in there and a WiFi signal meter shows its a strong there, or in some cases stronger, than other rooms where Google devices workk fine

We got it. Thanks for the details you provided. A good Wi-Fi signal is another factor that we need to consider as well. Try to move the Nest Hub near the router then observe if this will make any difference. We’ll keep this thread open for 3 days and wait for your update.

Hi. I have tried moving the hub nearer to the router putting it in the same room but this made no difference

The system firmware is 7.20220419.2.166

cast firmware is 1.62.312297

playing music from Spotify seems to work fine. I will try a radio station that is not the bbc and let you know how that works.

Just tried listening to classic fm on tunein and that doesn’t drop out either si t just seems to be bbc radio

And casting from my the sounds app on my phone to the speaker seems to work it just seems to b using the voice control to the bbc sounds app on the nest hub

Thanks for trying. It looks like the issue is isolated on BBC. Have you tried reaching out to team to check if they receive similar reports?
