Sorry to hear about the troubles you're having with the timezones, I know it can be confusing but I'm happy to look into this for you.

Have you tried these steps?

Open the Google Home app.
Tap and select your Chromecast device from the list of available devices.
Click the Gear icon on the top-right corner to access Device settings.
Scroll down to the Time section of Device settings.
Tap Time Zone and select the new time zone of your choice.
