Why do i have to unplug my Mini to power off?

My Home Mini used to power off by voice command. Now it says I have to unplug from power source to power off. What changed?

Hi GinnyC,

All Google Home and Google Nest speakers and displays are designed to be always on and have never been able to power off either by voice command or a switch on the device.

The only way to completely turn off these devices is by switching off at the power supply or unplugging.
